First class…
Jan 26th
My reaction to the first Art & Tech class was that I have to hang on to my socks. It seriously looks like an out-of-the-box class, or in this case an “out-of-the-class” class. Without a doubt it looks like nothing I have ever been in, which fills me with both curiosity and excitement. I’ve always been interested in art and the art lifestyle but I never pursued it. People I grew up around with always thought I was going into the artistic field, but alas I didn’t. I think because of the whole “artists die of hunger” idea that has been cultivated in my mind where I come from. A little about myself; I grew up in Venezuela exposed to different cultures. I studied in an American school and did martial arts since 5 years old. First 4 years of my life I lived in Europe, which I remember practically nothing, but nonetheless there I spent my first 48 months of my life. I guess that contributed to me having a very international cultural curiosity. Graduating from high school I chose to study business, but have always kept in touch with the art world taking various photography and film classes along the way. That has steered me to focus on a business branch in which I can still use my creativity: marketing.
I am expecting to learn so much that I won’t be able to remember, which is why this blog idea is perfect. I think the knowledge I will gain will help me differentiate myself from other marketers by utilizing intellectual references for creative marketing campaigns.
Here we go!
